Who we are
This website is run by Code With Impact, a volunteer-led initiative based in the UK. We are responsible for the personal data described here. Contact us at engagement@codewithimpact.com.
Website analytics
We use GoatCounter to count how our website is used, so we can improve it. It does not use cookies or store anything on your device, and it does not build a profile of you or follow you across other websites.
When you visit a page, GoatCounter receives the page address, the website that referred you, your browser and screen size, and your approximate country. Your IP address is used briefly to tell visits apart and is not stored. We only see totals, such as "120 visits to Lesson 1 this week". We also count clicks on our forms, donation and social media links.
Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in understanding which parts of the site are useful.
Opting out: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we don't count your visits. You can also opt out here. Your choice is saved on this device only.
Forms you fill in
Our volunteer, partner and newsletter forms use Google Forms. Google processes the answers for us and stores them in our Google account.

We keep form answers for as long as we need them for that purpose, and review them at least once a year. If you stop volunteering or unsubscribe, we delete your details within 12 months unless we need to keep a record by law.
Google may process data outside the UK. Where it does, it relies on the legal safeguards that UK data protection law requires.
Learning progress
Our Learn AI and Learn ML lessons remember which activities you've completed. This is saved only in your own browser, never sent to us, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Other websites
Links to Buy Me a Coffee, LinkedIn, Instagram and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Email engagement@codewithimpact.com and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
